I like "The Beer That Purrs" as a slogan.
Also, re an earlier post, the homemade booze is called LaoLao?!? Isn't that like us calling our moonshine AmericAmeric?
i always love a contest. if i guess incorrectly, you can have a singha and put it on my tab. ummmm. 25 cents?
Regarding LaoLao: I'm not sure why the "s" is in the word Laos since it is totally silent. And things that are from Laos are always written "Lao" as in "BeerLao". Secondly, since Lao is a tonal language the first and second Lao have different meanings. So it's more like saying "American Whiskey" just with tones rather than different words.
Yep, it's about 38 baht to the dollar so a small (12 oz) beer is about 1.10 or so. It's a little more expensive at the MutMee than at other places around town. It's more common to see big beers go for around 55-60 baht. I mostly photographed it because some of the beers were 71 baht.
